Scandic Ishavshotel – Hotel near airport in Tromso

The hotel has stunning views across the water, offering a great night's sleep, despite the room not being huge. The service was exceptional with special attention to needed rest before an early start at 05:30 for our next journey. The location was fantastic, with convenient USB sockets near the kids' beds. The breakfast buffet was varied and included in the price, offering a range of delicious options. However, the rooms were not the most spacious, and the miso soup in the dining experience was not to my taste.

My stay at the hotel was delightful! The room offered a lovely view of the fjord and mountain fjellheisen, although a bit more storage would have been handy. It was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful throughout my visit. The service had some hiccups with corporate-like responses initially and an oversight during check-out, but the personal touch and gestures made up for it. The location was superb, providing easy access to various attractions and boasting a mesmerizing view of the Arctic Cathedral. The dining experience was diverse and satisfying, although nothing extraordinary. Overall, a great value for a memorable stay.
